(ROTH):
"THE OIL- AND NATURAL-GAS-INDUSTRY SUPPORTED MORE THAN 117-THOUSAND JOBS, IN MINNESOTA--AND CONTRIBUTED WELL OVER 14-BILLION DOLLARS, TO THE STATE'S ECONOMY--IN 2015.  THESE MEN AND WOMEN WORK IN REFINERIES, BUILD PIPELINES, AND DELIVER PRODUCTS--HELPING PROVIDE THE ENERGY THAT BUSINESSES AND HOUSEHOLDS NEED.  OIL AND NATURAL GAS TOUCH VIRTUALLY EVERY FACET OF OUR LIVES--FROM HEATING OUR HOMES AND FUELING TRANSPORTATION, TO LIFE-SAVING MEDICAL-DEVICES AND COSMETICS AT THE DRUGSTORE.  AND, MINNESOTA'S PIPELINES PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE--NOT JUST WHEN IT COMES TO JOBS AND KEEPING ENERGY AFFORDABLE, BUT ALSO IN PROVIDING BENEFITS TO THE ENVIRONMENT.  ABUNDANT RESOURCES OF CRUDE OIL AND NATURAL GAS ALREADY COME INTO THE STATE, FROM NORTH DAKOTA AND CANADA.  THIS UNDERSCORES THE NEED FOR US TO BUILD AND MAINTAIN THE NECESSARY INFRASTRUCTURE, WITHIN MINNESOTA, TO HELP TRANSPORT THOSE RESOURCES TO MARKET."

Mr. Roth is also the director of the Wisconsin Petroleum Council.
