(MAGNUSON OPEN):
"We were attacked--and
Americans won't be safe until the terrorists are defeated."
Progress for America--a national grassroots organization--has
begun an issue-advocacy effort placing sharp focus on the War on Terror.
Among those speaking out in support of continuing the mission is
David Beamer--the father of Flight 93 hero, Todd Beamer...
(BEAMER):
"I understand that it's hard; I understand the sacrifices are
terrible. And, certainly, Peggy and I and Lisa and the rest of the
Beamer family, we grieve every day, when we hear of another who has been
killed in battle--because we know exactly what that phone call sounds
like and feels like, and it never goes away. The enemy is diverse;
he goes by multiple names; he lives all over the planet; and, quite
frankly, we must engage him, defeat them, eliminate them, wherever we
happen to find them."
